Hear it from our partners
I cannot imagine a career more gratifying than that of a community banker. Every day I get to participate in making dreams become reality whether it is financing someone's first car, their home, starting a business or building a future. We make things happen.
My absolute favorite thing about being a community banker is that I am able to apply what I learned in my M.B.A. from Texas A&M University-Commerce in my job every single day, specifically in working with and mentoring other bankers and professionals to become the best versions of themselves.
Being a community banker provides me the opportunity to work with a team of diverse individuals who have varying talents and areas of expertise. It is extremely rewarding to know our team makes a positive impact on the economic strength of our community while developing strong relationships and sharing in dreams and successes.
For more than 25 years, I have called community banking my job. It is more than a career. The spirit of each community in which we work believes in, relies on and supports its community bank. We get to share in realizing dreams of the communities and the people who call it home. For more than a century, community banking has led the way to growth through hard times and through great times remaining committed to our customers.
What an amazing career. Being a banker allows you to have a direct impact on the financial success of individuals and businesses in your community.
Community banking has allowed me to maintain a healthy work-life balance while advancing professionally, to connect with my community through service organizations and to help my community achieve their financial goals. Those with a B.B.A. in Banking will have a head start not only after graduation, but throughout their career.
A career in community banking has been more rewarding professionally and personally than I could have ever imagined. I can say with conviction that if you have a passion for people, good work ethic, a desire to learn and a degree in Banking from TAMUC, you can go a long way in reaching your professional goals in life.
